"Thank you for your feedback, Vicky. I am very sorry that Drive Safe and Save was not explained to you more thoroughly. It is a beacon that Bluetooth's to your phone through the State Farm app and automatically gets you a discount. It does reevaluate your discount every 6 months and we see more often than not that discount increasing! The worst case scenario by setting up DSS is you get less of a discount, but overall it is still saving you more money on your insurance by having it then by not having it.
